Body found in Tennessee River on New Year's Eve

A body was found in the Tennessee River near the Suck Creek boat ramp on New Year's Eve, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.

The body had not been identified and was to be taken to the Hamilton County Medical Examiners Office to determine the cause of death, according to a news release.

A death investigation is underway.
