Aggressive driving incident leads to fatal shooting of Chickamauga, Georgia, man

An aggressive driving incident south of Chickamauga, Georgia, led to the shooting death of a Chickamauga man about 7:20 p.m. Tuesday, according to a news release from Walker County Sheriff Steve Wilson.

The incident involved two men driving motorcycles and a man driving a truck. According to witnesses the three vehicles were southbound on GA Highway 341 and came to a stop in the Dollar General Store parking lot at 15 Garretts Chapel Road, Chickamauga, Georgia, the news release stated.

The men scuffled and one man fired a 9mm weapon striking the man driving the truck in the chest. The gunshot victim was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to the news release.

The two men driving the motorcycles have been arrested and taken to Walker County Jail. Charges and identities of the men will be released Wednesday, the news release stated.
