NEW YORK (AP) - She loves her dad, but if you really want to get singer Lilly Hiatt excited, put her onstage next to Eddie Vedder.

Meeting Pearl Jam's lead singer is a bucket list item for the 33-year-old daughter of songwriter John Hiatt. It's a reminder that even with strong musical bloodlines, she's got her own style and influences.

Lilly Hiatt is a confessional songwriter who rocks out with a twang, and she's getting a big push from the influential Americana label New West Records with a disc out Friday.

Her collection features a song of appreciation for her dad for holding things together after her mother committed suicide when she was a baby.
