Kids Today-Scholars Tomorrow, World's Church of the Living God, encourages youth to become involved in their community. The youth group learns valuable information needed when applying for college, for employment and for community service. Our recent visit to The Chattanooga Rescue Mission made a heartfelt impression on me.
When we got to the mission, I thought it was a church until we entered the gym and saw men and women's clothing, shoes, and socks piled up in different sections of the gym. We were ready to put on gloves and get to work. Seeing how others live from day to day makes me more thankful and blessed that my family is here with me to teach, guide and love me as I grow up.
I realize that we need to love each other and stop complaining. This trip was a great lesson for me.
