Good Deed: Community supports Tyner High School student after house fire

Good Deed
Good Deed

Tyner High School recently experienced a tragedy within its school family when one of its students suffered the loss of his home due to a house fire. The student and his family lost everything; all they had were the clothes on their backs. Word quickly spread for anything that could be done within the Tyner Family (affectionately known as the "Ramily"). People began to respond.

Word also reached members of the Bible In The Schools Program. Tyner is one of the high schools that has Bible History elective courses provided by community donations through Bible In The Schools. Members of the board and staff responded within hours, personally donating many needed items, independent of organizational funding.

We want to thank Bible In The Schools for the quick and compassionate response. As a result of community love and care, this student can rest a little easier knowing that he has some of his basic needs met, has clothes to wear, and that he need not fear embarrassment from his peers after this tragedy. Thank you to all.
