On the first day of spring, several students from Lee University did not waste any time helping spruce up Hiwassee Mental Health in Cleveland, Tenn.

These seniors wanted to show their appreciation to the staff at the center for their hard work and dedication to help families in the Bradley County area who are dealing with addiction and mental illness. The COVID-19 pandemic showed the true strength and endurance of health care providers.

These students offered their thanks with paint brushes and some good old-fashioned elbow grease. A big thank-you to the Sherwin-Williams store in Cleveland that donated a lot of the materials. As Fred Rogers once said, "It's not so much what we have in life that matters. It's what we do with what we have." Thank you to these students who learned a great lesson outside the classroom.
