Good Deed: Spectrum, state, local leaders make donation to Boys & Girls Clubs

Spectrum representatives joined state and local leaders to make a $1,500 donation to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Ocoee Region and announce the winner of an essay contest.

Teenage members of the club submitted essays on the topic "Why Broadband is Important to Me." The winning essayist, Madison Fischer, received a tablet, a plaque and a gift bag from Spectrum and read the winning essay to community leaders during a luncheon.

"I want to congratulate all of the members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Ocoee Region for their submissions," state Rep. Mark Hall said. "Broadband and its accessibility is one of the most important issues facing our rural populations, and it's great to see companies like Spectrum are committed to supporting our youth and community."

Spectrum representatives also shared how they are working with communities to provide affordable, high-speed broadband to unserved areas through means such as the Affordable Connectivity Program and Spectrum Internet Assist.

To assist consumers with the eligibility process and enrollment, Spectrum hosts a dedicated website: www.SpectrumInternetAssist.com. For more information, call 1-844-525-1574.
