Good Deed: Community volunteers transform Rivermont School

The redo of Rivermont School that occurred over the summer involved numerous volunteers giving their time and talent. Each classroom was given a makeover by community members, classroom teachers, parents and businesses who joined to fully convert the elementary to a S.T.E.A.M. school (science, technology, engineering, art and math).

Principal Nikki Bailey and her team of volunteers recruited community partners like the Chattanooga Lookouts and the Tennessee Aquarium to help transform classrooms into art and science labs and language centers, to name a few.

Thank you to all the companies who donated time and services, including Tri-State Electrical Contractors, for assisting with the classroom of Stacy Prater. They installed new L.E.D. lighting and electrical outlets for the special needs classroom.
