The Rant

The Rant

December 18th, 2016 in Opinion Rants

Trump with his antics has managed to suck all the air out of Washington. Does anyone even remember who is president?

Good grief! Trump has time to meet with Kanye West, but no time for daily security briefings?

Many of Trump's nominations have no government experience. Sounds like an asset to me.

Which is free enterprise? Having a billionaire deciding on minimum wage? Using government funds to keep a business in the U.S.? Not paying income taxes?

A friend of Russia for State, a climate-change denier for EPA, a drill-baby-drill guy for Interior Looks like quite a cabinet shaping up.

Most Trump voters embrace fake news because they are willfully ignorant.

If Clinton and her support staff CNN and Washington Post would stop issuing fake news (Benghazi video), there would be no problem.

Regardless of who or what government hacked HRC's or Podesta's emails, the outrageous content remains the same!

Finally, The Times came up with a new scapegoat. If it's not racism or climate change, everything must certainly be caused by the Russians.

A guy on the internet or the Russian government hacking emails, what difference does it make at this point?

Immigration is not the problem. Illegal immigration is the problem. Understand the difference.

Trump should nominate [Times editorial page Editor] Pam Sohn as head of the U.S. Department of Hysterics.

I hated Obama; but it took two years of his first administration, not a month prior to his taking office.

Someone please have Wolf Blitzer take breath-control lessons. It's awful when he stops talking at random to get a breath.

Seat belts are only a Band-aid. Address the issue of children out of control. Put additional adults on buses and SROs as needed.

Politifact: The real number of available, working-age, out-of-work Americans is 20 million.

Sanctuary cities: 55,322 illegal aliens arrested 459,614 times, and you want to let them stay? Wake up, stop sanctuary cities now, protect Americans.

With so many things coming back in style, I can't wait for morals, intelligence and courtesy to become trendy again.

It happened again Tuesday night — absolutely no support for Mocs basketball. Win or lose, Chattanooga, support your local teams. Fill the Roundhouse and Finley Stadium.

Wonder if it would be OK with Signal Mountain if I pay my town taxes as promptly as they pick up my curbside leaves?

Ron Hart's wit astounds me. He absorbs the political absurdities and translates them for us.

When Obama put his rival in the cabinet, he was compared to Lincoln. When Trump selects his rivals for the cabinet, somehow he's an idiot. Double standard?

It's a beautiful thing to watch the left squirm when President-elect Trump picks people for his cabinet who might actually follow the will of the American people.

Is it possible Larry Grohn will be the Donald Trump of the 2017 Chattanooga city elections and pull off a mayoral upset nobody saw coming?

After Russ Huesman, Matt McCall and Jim Foster, is it possible UTC could make a fourth straight sound coaching pick with Huesman's exit?

What a joy to read the accomplishment of [Baylor School junior] Carmen Ross. Congratulations and "Go girl"!
