Mocs seeking more success

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga football team's offense improved by leaps and bounds in 2009. And the offense, at least in terms of personnel, should look much the same in 2010.

Quarterback B.J. Coleman has two years of eligibility remaining and the Mocs' top eight offensive linemen are back. In addition, the backfield of 2010 could look, oddly enough, exactly like the backfield of 2007.

Running backs Bryan Fitzgerald and Erroll Wynn, who both rushed for more than 770 yards in 2007, are back for their final seasons. Fitzgerald was granted a sixth year of eligibility by the NCAA after suffering a season-ending foot injury, and Wynn has one season left after redshirting last season.

The Mocs' top returning wideout is Chris Pitchford, who had 44 catches for 528 yards and five touchdowns as a junior. New receivers will have to emerge to replace Blue Cooper and Clint Woods, who both had at least 125 career catches for more than 1,250 yards.
