KNOXVILLE - Tennessee receiver Da'Rick Rogers was absent from the Volunteers' practice on Thursday morning, though coach Derek Dooley said the rising junior is not suspended.
"He's got some things he's got to do internally," Dooley said after practice. "When he does them, he'll be back. It's kind of an internal team issue, and it's something he's just got to finish doing some stuff. When he does he'll back.
"I wouldn't call it anything other than he's got to do some things. When does, he'll come back, and when he doesn't, he's not going to be here."
Dooley said it's his impression that Rogers, a 1,000-yard receiver last season, will do what's required to return to the team. The former Calhoun High School star reportedly missed some of UT's morning workouts last month after an incident with the strength and conditioning staff.
"I don't have any knowledge of him wanting to leave," Dooley said. "He's never told me that or indicated that to me or anybody else."
