University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's basketball coach Matt McCall has received a two-year extension that will last through the 2021-22 season, the Times Free Press has learned.

McCall led the Mocs to a 29-5 record in his first season at the helm. They had 10 wins over teams that participated in postseason tournaments, including a road win over NCAA-tournament team Dayton, a win at Georgia, a NIT participant; and a 3-0 record against rival East Tennessee State, who won 24 games and advanced to the semifinals of the Vegas 16 tournament.

The Mocs won the Southern Conference's regular-season and tournament titles, advancing to their first NCAA tournament since 2009.
