Georgia snagged one of the Volunteer State's top football prospects for the 2019 class Sunday night, receiving a nonbinding pledge from Bill Norton, a 6-foot-6, 270-pound defensive end from Christian Brothers in Memphis.

Norton visited Georgia the first weekend of the month and took trips to Mississippi State and Tennessee the past two weekends. He is a four-star prospect, according to 247Sports.com, which ranks him as the nation's No. 128 overall recruit and the No. 3 prospect from Tennessee.

The top two in-state recruits are Franklin Road Academy receiver Lance Wilhoite, who is uncommitted, and Memphis University School cornerback Maurice Hampton, who has committed to LSU.

Georgia had the nation's No. 1 recruiting class for 2018, and its eight commitments for 2019 are ranked No. 1 as well.
