Yellow Jackets report

Georgia Tech defeated Lamar - coach Josh Pastner's alma mater - by 19 points in its season opener Friday, leading by as many as 28 points along the way. The Yellow Jackets shot 51 percent from the floor while forcing 19 turnovers. Tonight will mark the return of Phillips, who spent two seasons in the Tennessee program where he played in 64 games with 24 starts. He added four rebounds and four assists to his 10 points against Lamar.

Key matchup

The Vols' biggest challenge will be handling the pressure defense the Yellow Jackets employ. With the uncertainty surrounding whether junior guard Lamonte Turner - the SEC sixth man of the year last season - will play while getting over an ankle injury, Tennessee could be with only two guards in Bone and Bowden. Using Schofield and Williams as additional ball-handlers will be key.
