Mocs report: Coming off a disappointing loss to Eastern Kentucky last Saturday, UTC got back on track Tuesday with a 31-point win over Cumberland University, an NAIA program. Smallwood had 18 points and 18 rebounds, while Easley matched the senior's points total. UTC held Cumberland to 36 percent shooting while winning the rebounding battle 50-30.

Jaguars report: South Alabama is led by Richie Riley, formerly the leader at Nicholls State, where he compiled a 35-28 record in two seasons. The Jaguars will be facing comparable competition for the first time this season, having lost by 43 points to ninth-ranked Auburn and having won by 30 over Huntingdon, a Division III program.

Key matchup: The Jaguars are a good shooting team - they have made 40 percent of their attempts from 3-point range - but they also struggle defensively, having allowed opponents to make 46 percent from long range. Tonight will be about not only the quality of shots the Mocs take, but the looks they prevent the Jaguars from getting with their fast-paced tempo.
