Softball

* Tyner Academy pitcher Chyna Price has signed to continue her softball career at Division II program Miles College in Fairfield, Alabama, and Tyner coach Billy Elliott said Miles coach Patrick Peasant "is excited to add Chyna to an already dynamic pitching rotation" but expects to use her also at other positions because of her athletic ability. "She was heavily recruited by Lane College, Bryan College, Albany State and Talladega College, to name a few," Elliott said. "While this decision was a difficult one, feeling at home is what made Miles the final choice." Elliott is expecting a strong senior season from Price, even more with the college decision behind her, and passed along her thanks to her coaches along the way - besides him, Lawrence Dees, James Wright, Keyonne Arnwine, Torey Sanders, Patrick Joseph and Maya Branch.
