The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's basketball team dropped to 1-4 with a 72-53 loss at Cincinnati on Tuesday night.

After falling behind 42-26 to start the third quarter, UTC strung together a 17-5 run - with seven points coming off three turnovers by the Bearcats - to make it 47-43 with 1:39 to play in the period.

However, Cincinnati (3-2) went on a 9-0 run that started at the end of the third and spilled over into the final quarter to push its lead back to double digits. The Mocs were down seven when Antoinette Miller hit a 3-pointer and followed with a layup to stretch the hosts' lead to 11.

UTC didn't score again until 5:38 remained in the game on Ruona Uwusiaba's two free throws to get within nine, but the Mocs never got closer the rest of the way as they shot only 4-of-12 from the field in the quarter and were outscored 23-10.

Lakelyn Bouldin led UTC with 17 points. She was 3-of-6 from the 3-point line and made all four of her free throws, all in a third quarter in which the Mocs had their best stretch of the game.
