Georgia junior running back D'Andre Swift, who averaged a program-record 6.56 yards per carry during his three-year collegiate career, has decided to take his talents to football's ultimate level.

The 5-foot-9, 215-pounder from Philadelphia made the announcement Friday afternoon via social media.

"The time has now come for me to pursue another dream of mine, which is to enter the 2020 NFL draft," Swift posted on Twitter. "My family and I have spent a considerable amount of time determining what's best for me. I will be forgoing my senior year, and I'm excited for what the future holds. I'll always be a Bulldog!"

CBS released a mock draft Thursday that had Swift going to the Baltimore Ravens as the final pick of the opening round.

Swift rushed 440 times for 2,885 yards and 20 touchdowns in his three seasons that yielded three Southeastern Conference Eastern Division championships and the overall SEC crown in 2017. After rushing for 618 yards as a freshman, including a 64-yard touchdown run against Auburn that clinched the program's first league title in 12 years, Swift amassed 1,049 yards as a sophomore and 1,218 yards this season.

A nagging shoulder injury limited Swift in his final contests, as he had just two carries for 13 yards in the 37-10 loss to LSU in the SEC title game and one carry for 2 yards during Wednesday night's 26-14 dumping of Baylor in the Sugar Bowl.

Todd Gurley averaged 6.44 yards per carry from 2012 to 2014, and Charley Trippi averaged 6.42 in his Georgia career, which included the 1942 and 1945-46 seasons.
