TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Rennia Davis scored 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds Sunday afternoon as Tennessee bounced back from a disappointing defeat three days earlier to roll past Alabama, 82-56, in Southeastern Conference women's basketball.

The 23rd-ranked Lady Volunteers took control in the second quarter by outscoring the Crimson Tide 26-7. Tennessee was coming off a 67-66 home loss to Georgia in which the Lady Bulldogs rallied from a 17-point second-half deficit to win, and the Lady Vols' trip to Tuscaloosa will be followed by undefeated No. 4 Connecticut's visit to Knoxville on Thursday.

Rae Burrell scored 17 points for the Lady Vols (9-2, 3-1), with Tamari Key adding 15 points with seven rebounds and Jordan Horston 14 points with seven assists and six rebounds. Davis had all three of Tennessee's steals.

Jordan Lewis led Alabama (11-2, 4-2) with 22 points, and Jasmine Walker posted 17 points and 12 rebounds for her fourth straight double-double. The Tide return to competition next Sunday as Auburn visits.

Horston closed the first quarter with a 3-pointer to pull the Lady Vols into a tie at 18, and her layup to open the second quarter started a 16-0 run. Tennessee led 42-23 at halftime and 70-47 entering the fourth quarter.
