Tennessee junior linebacker Aaron Beasley, who was suspended in April after allegedly mistreating a cat that belonged to the roommate of Beasley's girlfriend, has been reinstated to the team.

Beasley's charge of animal cruelty was dismissed Thursday during a court hearing in Knoxville.

The 6-foot-1, 225-pounder from Franklin, Georgia, played in eight of Tennessee's 10 games last season, recording seven tackles and providing a forced fumble at Georgia. As a freshman in 2019, Beasley played mostly on special teams and had two tackles, including one in the Gator Bowl win over Indiana.

Thomas to Dawgs

Georgia picked up a four-star commitment Friday from JaCorey Thomas, a 6-1, 188-pounder from Boone High School in Orlando, Florida. Thomas is the nation's No. 19 athlete prospect and the No. 316 overall recruit in the 247Sports.com composite rankings.

Thomas is the 11th commitment in the 2022 signing cycle for the Bulldogs, who currently have the nation's No. 4 class behind Ohio State, Notre Dame and LSU.
