The remainder of the Chattanooga Lookouts' six-game series against the Tennessee Smokies at AT&T Field has been canceled.

The Lookouts won the first two games of the series Tuesday and Wednesday, but on Thursday afternoon the team announced that night's game had been called off to allow for additional COVID-19 testing and contact tracing of members of the Smokies, the Double-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs.

Some two hours later, again citing that they are following Minor League Baseball's health and safety protocols, the Lookouts announced the remaining four games through Sunday were off. Friday's game was to include a visit from the World Famous Zooperstars and be followed by fireworks, and Saturday's game was to continue the Lookouts' used car giveaway promotion.

Tickets for the canceled contests are exchangeable for any 2021 Lookouts home game by calling 423-267-4849 or writing to tickets@lookouts.com. Fans are encouraged to include their order number in their ticket exchange email. Exchanges are based on availability.

Chattanooga's seven-game series against the Birmingham Barons that starts next Tuesday is expected to be played as scheduled.
