Baylor boys win first tennis title since 1997

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The Baylor boys tennis team claimed their first state championship since 1997 with a 4-0 victory over Memphis University School in the Division II-AA state title at the Adams Tennis Complex.

The Red Raiders had two wins in doubles to take the 1-0 lead, then had singles wins by Cooper Long, Brandon Kali and Matthew Elias, with Elias' win clinching the title.

With the Lady Red Raiders' 4-0 win over Hutchison, it's the first time since 1996 that Baylor's team have swept the tennis champions.
