McCallie School's long-strong lacrosse program keeps churning out college recruits.

The school held a celebration ceremony Wednesday morning for nine seniors who have signed national letters of intent or commitment papers in November to play for NCAA programs, and six of them were lacrosse players headed to Division I schools: Ellison Burt-Murray to Rutgers, Cameron Henry to Duke, Chattanooga resident Wyatt McVay to Furman, Zach Musial to Bryant University in Rhode Island and Ian McCauley and Signal Mountain resident Nick Jessen to Lafayette College in Pennsylvania.

The other Blue Tornado athletes moving on to college sports are swimmer Jake Marcum to Indiana, where McCallie swim coach Stan Corcoran played water polo; baseball player Chad Marsh to Trevecca Nazarene; and golfer Jake Levine to Rhodes. Levine and Marsh live in Chattanooga, Marcum in Ooltewah.

According to a McCallie release Wednesday, Marsh was an all-state center fielder in 2018, when he batted .354 and scored 17 runs and the Tornado reached the Division II-AA state final four.

Levine competed in the state golf tournament three times and was the East-Middle Region champion as a junior.

Marcum was an All-American as a junior and set the McCallie record for the 100 backstroke. He was part of another school record with the 400 freestyle relay.

McCallie was the 2018 runner-up in the Tennessee Scholastic Lacrosse Association's top division, and Henry was the state defensive player of the year and a US Lacrosse All-American along with attackman Jessen. Joining those two as all-state honorees were Burt-Murray, McCauley and Musial.
