The Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association has released its new district and region alignments for the 2021-23 seasons.
Schools have until Nov. 12 to appeal to the TSSAA if they wish to move from their current district/region alignment. Beginning in the 2021-22 school year, there will be four public-school classifications in baseball, basketball and softball - up from the current three classes - as well as two classes in Division II.
Here are the region and district alignments involving Chattanooga-area schools:
FOOTBALL
Region 3-1A: Copper Basin, Lookout Valley, Sale Creek, South Pittsburg, Whitwell.
Region 3-2A: Bledsoe County, Marion County, Meigs County, Polk County, Tellico Plains, Tyner.
Region 3-3A: Brainerd, Loudon, McMinn Central, Signal Mountain, Sweetwater.
Region 4-3A: Cannon County, Community, Giles County, Grundy County, Sequatchie County.
Region 3-4A: Central, East Hamilton, East Ridge, Hixson, Red Bank, Sequoyah, Soddy-Daisy.
Region 4-5A: Howard, McMinn County, Ooltewah, Rhea County, Walker Valley.
Region 2-6A: Bearden, Bradley Central, Cleveland, Farragut, Hardin Valley, Maryville, William Blount.
Division II-A East Region: Bell Buckle Webb, Friendship Christian, Grace Baptist, King's Academy, Lakeway Christian, Middle Tennessee Christian School.
Division II-AA East Region: Boyd Buchanan, Chattanooga Christian, Christian Academy of Knoxville, Knoxville Grace, Knoxville Webb, Notre Dame, Silverdale Baptist.
Division II-AAA East/Middle Region: Baylor, Father Ryan, Knoxville Catholic, McCallie, Montgomery Bell Academy, Pope John Paul II.
