McCallie's basketball program is off to its best start since a 17-0 run to begin a 24-win campaign in the 2017-18 season.
Parker Robison made three of the Blue Tornado's eight 3-pointers and 7-footer David Craig supplied 11 points in Saturday's 62-27 home win over Bledsoe County.
Fourth-year head coach David Conrady's team improved to 7-1 as McCallie jumped out to a 39-9 lead by halftime.
Dade County 68, Trion 50: Everett Christensen and Brody Cooper had 15 points each, and Max Howard and Brodie Swader added 11 and 10, respectively, for the Wolverines (2-1) in Friday's win. Greyson Petty led Trion with 18 points, followed by Kham Tomlin with 16.
LaFayette 60, North Murray 25: Junior Barber led the Ramblers (2-0) with 25 points, with Aiden Hadaway adding 14 with 19 rebounds in their Region 6-AAA opener Friday.
Chattanooga Christian School 60, Chattanooga Patriots 57: The Chargers used a 17-5 advantage in the third quarter to help them survive Thursday's game against the motivated Patriots, who were led by Jonathan Swanson's 24 points.
A total of 17 3-pointers were made in the game, including four by Levi Lubbers for CCS. Boo Carter and Caiden Bauldwin scored 15 and 13, respectively, to pace the Chargers.
GIRLS
Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe 60, Murray County 55: Christina Collins had 20 points to lead three LFO players in double figures Friday. Angel Simmons added 17 and Christen Collins 13 for the Lady Warriors (5-0), with Mattie Nuckolls and Ella Dotson leading the Lady Indians with 17 and 14, respectively.
Trion 38, Dade County 37: The Lady Bulldogs improved to 2-0 Friday night as Aubree Weaver led a balanced attack with nine points and I'ziah McCutchins added eight. Stella Henry topped Dade County's list with 13 points.
LaFayette 45, North Murray 27: Mykeria Johnson had a game-high 17 points as the Lady Ramblers won their Region 6-AAA opener Friday
East Hamilton 52, Hixson 20: Morgan Bone scored 14 points and Amya Sutton was sharp in the Lady Hurricanes' road victory Friday night.
