Andy Wilkins hit a three-run home run and Jonathan Rodriguez and Edgar Corcino had two-run shots Saturday night as the Chattanooga Lookouts rolled to a series-opening 10-2 win over the Generals in Jackson, Tenn.
The Lookouts are 43-18 in the Southern League's second half, having surpassed their 42-win first half that netted the North Division title.
Rodriguez hit his homer in the fourth inning to put Chattanooga ahead to stay at 3-1. The Wilkins blast in the sixth gave the Lookouts a 7-2 lead.
Game two of the five-game series in Jackson is this afternoon at 3:05 EDT. Dereck Rodriguez (5-3, 4.22 ERA) is the scheduled starting pitcher for the Lookouts, with Brad Keller (8-9, 5.23) scheduled for the Generals.
