BARONS 11, LOOKOUTS 10

» Friday's road recap: Down 11-1 after four innings, Chattanooga rallied with an eruption of offense over the next three frames but never caught the Barons, who won three of five in the series in Birmingham, Alabama. The Lookouts fell to 10-24 in the second half of the Southern League season and 46-57 overall this year. Chattanooga got its comeback attempt going with four runs in the top of the fifth, with Taylor Trammell and Ibandel Isabel contributing RBIs in the inning. Chris Okey's two-run homer to left field in the sixth cut Birmingham's lead to four runs, and Jose Siri completed a three-RBI performance by drawing a bases-loaded walk in the seventh, when Alfredo Rodriguez's groundout that allowed Okey to go home completed the scoring. Okey finished with three hits, as did teammate Gavin LaValley.

» Next up: The Lookouts open a five-game series against the Tennessee Smokies at 7:15 p.m. Saturday at AT&T Field. Promotions include a Looie garden gnome giveaway for the first 1,000 fans through the gate and in-game performances by the ZOOperstars inflatable entertainers.

» Pitchers: Reiver Sanmartin (0-4, 6.67) is scheduled to start for the Lookouts. The Smokies have not announced their starter.
