Chattanooga's Mitch Nay homered to right field during the second inning of Tuesday night's Southern League baseball game against the Tennessee Smokies at AT&T Field.

It was not May's biggest hit of that inning.

The Lookouts won their fifth consecutive game before an announced crowd of 3,399 at AT&T Field, downing the Smokies 8-5 on the strength of a seven-run second that more than countered Tennessee's three-run first. Ibandel Isabel's two-run single to right provided Chattanooga its first lead at 4-3, and Nay finished what he started in the second with a double to center that scored Taylor Trammell, Isabel and TJ Friedl.

Chattanooga, which improved to 17-13 for the season after a 6-11 start, took its largest lead at 8-3 in the fourth on an Isabel double to left that scored Trammell.

Before Tuesday's game, the Lookouts activated Friedl from the injury list. He replaced fellow outfielder Narciso Crook on the roster, with Crook getting sent to Triple-A Louisville.
