The trio of Blue Wahoos (25-14) combined to record five strikeouts while limiting the Lookouts (21-16) to five hits and two walks.
Mark Contreras broke a scoreless tie in the fifth inning with a double to right field that scored Joe Cronin. The Blue Wahoos loaded the bases in the eighth inning and turned a 1-0 lead into 3-0 on a Mitchell Kranson groundout RBI and a Cronin sacrifice fly to center.
The two surging teams have split the first four games of the series and will collide in the finale this morning at 11:15.
