Red Wolves rally late for home victory; Lady Red Wolves win on road

Juan Galindrez scored twice as the Chattanooga Red Wolves got all of their goals in the final 25 minutes and held on to defeat North Carolina Football Club 3-2 Sunday night at CHI Memorial Stadium in East Ridge.

Marky Hernandez also scored for the Red Wolves (5-1-1), who overcame a one-goal deficit and withstood a late score by NCFC (0-6-1) to move into a tie for second place in the USL League One standings at 16 points alongside the Greenville Triumph SC, the reigning league champion.

The Red Wolves' next match is also at home, at 7 p.m. next Saturday against Greenville (5-2-1), which first hosts Forward Madison FC on Wednesday.

Close but good

The Chattanooga Lady Red Wolves earned a 1-0 road win Sunday over Peachtree City MOBA. Former Cleveland High School standout Samantha Debien scored on a header from a Summer Hernandez cross in the 61st minute.

The Lady Red Wolves (4-1-1) host the Nashville Rhythm FC (6-1-0) at 7 p.m. Friday.
