Juan Galindrez scored his 10th goal of the season, but the Chattanooga Red Wolves lost 2-1 to Toronto FC II on Saturday night in front of 2,119 at CHI Memorial Stadium in East Ridge, taking a hit in their push for the USL League one regular-season championship.

It was just the second home loss of the season for the Red Wolves (11-15-10), who gave up goals by Paul Rothrock early in each half before avoiding the shutout when Galindrez scored in the 77th minute. It also came in the club's scheduled home finale, although a top-two finish in the standings for Chattanooga - which already has clinched one of the six playoff spots for the 12-team soccer league - would clinch a first-round bye and a host's spot in the semifinals.

With 43 points in the standings, the second-place Red Wolves are four points behind league-leading Union Omaha (13-4-8) and two ahead of the third-place Greenville Triumph (43). Omaha has three matches remaining, while Chattanooga and Greenville each has two, including against each other next Saturday in South Carolina. The Red Wolves' regular-season finale is Oct. 30 against Forward Madison FC in Wisconsin.
