The Chattanooga Red Wolves lost 1-0 to the Greenville Triumph SC on Friday night in South Carolina.

Greenville scored after a Chattanooga foul in the box, which led to a penalty kick that was converted by Aaron Walker in the 80th minute. The Triumph, who have reached the first three USL League One title matches and won the 2020 championship, scored for just the second time this season and earned their first win after opening with a loss, a draw and another loss.

The Red Wolves are now 2-3-1 overall this season and 2-2-1 in league play, which has them tied atop the standings at seven points with Richmond (2-1-1). Friday marked Chattanooga's first shutout at the hands of a league foe this year, but the Red Wolves did fall 1-0 to Louisville City in a U.S. Open Cup match on April 7.

They return home to face the Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC at 7:30 p.m. on May 7 at CHI Memorial Stadium in East Ridge. Chattanooga's two other league matches next month are also there: May 14 against Central Valley Fuego and May 28 against Greenville, with both set to kick off at 7:30 p.m.
