The Chattanooga Red Wolves had a winning weekend of soccer, with the men's team posting a 2-0 victory against Central Valley Fuego late Saturday night in Fresno, California, and the women's team beating South Georgia Tormenta FC on Sunday at CHI Memorial Stadium in East Ridge.

Mackenzie Smith scored yet another first-half goal for the Lady Red Wolves, who again made it hold up while improving to 3-1-2 in the USL W League's South Central Division with their third consecutive 1-0 victory. Chattanooga, which moved into second place with 11 points in the standings, will host Tennessee SC at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

In California, the Red Wolves did all of their scoring in the final 15 minutes, with goals by Moe Espinoza in the 81st and Juan Galindrez in the 95th ending a run of three consecutive losses - all of them shutouts - and four matches without a win. Now 4-6-2 overall and 4-5-2 in USL League One, good for second with 14 points, the Red Wolves are off this week before hosting the Charlotte Independence on June 22.
