Lady Red Wolves, Chattanooga FC women lose

The Chattanooga Lady Red Wolves built a three-goal advantage Friday night, but they were unable to hold it in a 4-3 loss to the Southern Soccer Academy in a USL W League match in Austell, Georgia.

Hannah Tillett scored twice and Summer Hernandez had the other goal for the Lady Red Wolves, whose five-game winning streak came to a close. Chattanooga (5-2-2, 17 points) continues its schedule with Tuesday's 7:30 p.m. match at South Georgia Tormenta FC in Statesboro, Georgia, hosts Southern Soccer Academy next Friday, then caps the regular season on July 8 at South Carolina United FC.

CFC women fall at home

The Chattanooga Football Club women's team lost 6-0 to the Nashville Rhythm FC at Finley Stadium.

It was the home finale for CFC (1-5), which returns to competition against the Tennessee Force at 3 p.m. Sunday at West High School in Knoxville, then closes its Women's Premier Soccer League Southeast Conference schedule with a July 2 match at North Alabama SC.
