Red Wolves rally at home; Chattanooga FC wins on road

The Chattanooga Red Wolves fell behind by a goal early against the Northern Colorado Hailstorm on Saturday night, but the hosts then rallied for a 4-1 win at CHI Memorial Stadium in East Ridge to improve to 3-3-1 overall this year, including 3-2-1 in USL League One competition.

David Texeira had two goals and DJ Benton and Jose Carrera also scored as Chattanooga turned away Northern Colorado, which fell to 1-2-1 in the league.

The Red Wolves are also at home for their next two USL League One matches, facing the Central Valley Fuego at 7:30 p.m. next Saturday and the Greenville Triumph at the same time on May 28.

Chattanooga FC wins

The Chattanooga Football Club picked up a 2-1 win over the host Maryland Bobcats, their first victory against National Independent Soccer Association competition this year.

Markus Nagelstad and Alex McGrath had the goals for Chattanooga FC, which improved to 2-3-1 overall and 1-2-1 against NISA competition.

CFC returns to competition on May 21 against Flower City Union in Rochester, New York. The next home match is against Bay Cities FC at 7:30 p.m. May 28 at Finley Stadium.
