Amazon offers free computer science courses for students online during COVID-19 pandemic

Amazon Future Engineer is providing free access to computer science courses for students, teachers and parents while many schools are relying more and more on virtual instruction during the the novel coronavirus pandemic.

Amazon Future Engineer is offering a free online coding course designed to teach students about the fundamentals of coding through coding a virtual robot, according to a news release. The fully course accommodates age levels from second grade with block-based coding to high school with text-based coding and is available in both English and Spanish.

Amazon is also providing access to EarSketch, a free program that helps students learn to code through music. Grammy-award winning artists Ciara and Common have both provided studio-quality music STEMs that students can remix from home using code.
