John Akins

Kenneth Lebron "John" Akins, 77, of Chattanooga, died Tuesday evening, Oct. 11, 2011, in a local health care center.A lifelong resident of Chattanooga, Mr. Akins retired from Bungy Oil after 30 years of service and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.He is survived by his wife, Mary Killian Akins; sisters, Betty Reneau, Ooltewah, Joyce Dupree, Florida, Geneva Pack, Chattanooga and Helen Thompson, Fort Oglethorpe; brothers, Bill Akins, Ringgold, Donald Akins, Chattanooga, Gordon Akins, Cleveland, Jack Akins, Ringgold and Thomas Akins, Florida; several nieces and nephews.Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. today at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Rev.
