Lorraine Henry

Lorraine Henderson Holterhoff Henry, 89, of Ooltewah, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012.Lorraine was raised in Greenville, S.C., was a resident of Knoxville, and Greenville before moving to Chattanooga in 1998. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and attended the Lee Anderson Sunday School class. Lorraine was an avid bridge player and was a member of the Newcomers Club of Chattanooga.She was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac Harmon Henderson Sr. and Jessie Ruth Ashley Henderson Gasse and her husband, Fred Gasse; first husband, Ralph Holterhoff Jr.; and a son, Ralph Holterhoff III; and her brothers, Marvin James and Isaac Harmon Henderson Jr.Lorraine leaves behind her husband of nine years, Wally Newell Henry; son, John (Olive) Holterhoff, of Ooltewah; daughter, Suzanne H. (Herman) Weaver, of Chattanooga; sister, Ruth Louise Henderson Moorhead Brown, of Greenville, S.C.; grandchildren, William H. (Shay) Weaver Jr., of Alpharetta, Ga., Michelle Henry, of Chattanooga, Kimberly and Michelle Holterhoff, both of San Diego, Calif.; great-grandchildren, Jackson Crawford Weaver and Adrian Grace Weaver, both of Alpharetta, and Benjamin Cole Henry, of Chattanooga; several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Jan. 21, at the North Chapel.Funeral services for Lorraine will follow at noon Saturday at the North Chapel with Rev.
