Wayne Wallace

Wayne Williams Wallace, 78, of Hixson, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at his home.Wayne was born on Oct. 17, 1934 in Harriman, Tenn.Survived by his wife of 50 years: Martha Walker Wallace, daughters, stepsons, grandchildren, great-granddaughter and siblings.Wayne lived in Harriman, attending school until he joined the U.S. Navy in 1951. During his time in the Navy, he was involved in both the Korean and Vietnam conflicts. He served 20 years in the Navy, retiring in 1971.In 1971, Wayne and family returned to Tennessee, where he accepted a job with LSE in Tullahoma. In 1984, Wayne accepted a position with Chattanooga Corporation and relocated his family to Hixson.
