LaFAYETTE Laura Frances Almon McSears, 59, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2015. She was employed at Lookout Mountain Community Service and was a member of New Bethel Fellowship Church. She was preceded in death by her mother, Alma Cleola Maddox Almon; father, Marvin Almon Sr.; sister, Bethel Carson; and brother, Frank Almon. Survivors are her son, Joseph Matthew (Rachel) Suttle, of Corpus Christi, Texas; grandchildren, Isiah Chapman, Jordon Chapman, Lylee "Lyra" Suttle; devoted partner, Russell Jackson; sisters, Shirley (Henry) Hambrick, Lonnie (James) Langston, Sr., Linda Ware, all of LaFayette, Annie Bell Ward of Dalton, Ga., Alice Joyce (La Vann) Coven, of Ringgold, Ga.; brothers, Jackie (Roxie) Almon of LaFayette, and Marvin (Angela) Almon, Jr. of Bremerton, Wash.; aunt, Nora (Richard) Wheeler of Garfield Heights, Ohio; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Homegoing Service for Laura Frances Almon McSears will be Sunday, Oct. 18, 2015 at 2 p.m. at New Bethel Christian Fellowship Church, Round Pond Road, LaFayette, Ga., with Rev. William Clark and Pastor Ken Carson officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service.
