Charles Bohannon

CHICKAMAUGA — Charles Howard Bohannon Sr., 76, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2018, at his residence. A resident of the Chickamauga area for the past 60 years, he was a former Inspector Foreman for Williams Gas and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roe and Amanda Ruby Ashley Bohannon; grandson, Cody Daniel; sister, Betty Gilreath and three brothers, Jimmy, Tommy and Glen Bohannon. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Maurene Moore Bohannon, of Chickamauga, Ga.; two children, Rhonda Bohannon Knox, of Chickamauga, Ga., and Chuck (Peggy) Bohannon, of Summerville, Ga.; two brothers, Bill and Bobby Bohannon, both of Chickamauga, Ga.; four grandchildren, Annberly Knox, Ashton Drew Knox, Hunter Knox and Shawn Daniel; five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Wayne Casteel officiating. Interment will be held at Garmany Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at the funeral home.
