Maxine Cousin

Maxine Belle Cousin, 71, of Chattanooga, passed away Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018 in a local hospital. She earned her Master’s degree and worked at Tennessee Valley Authority as a secretary until retirement. She retired from the United States Army Reserves. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, Wadie and Jessie Suttles, Sr.; brother, Thomas Sparks. Survivors include her son, Ivan (Beverly) Cousin; daughter, Carla Cousin; sisters, Patricia Emmons and Laviolet McReynolds; brother, Wadie Eli (Leona) Suttles, Jr; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Funeral: Today at 12 p.m. in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Jones officiating and Lorenzo Ervin as the Eulogist. Burial in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
