James Summers

James W. Summers, 72, a resident of Hixson, passed away Sept. 11, 2018, at his residence. Mr. Summers was raised in Jasper, Tenn., being one of ten siblings. He retired from BASF after 30 faithful years of service. A few of his most favorite things to do included, riding his Harley with his many buddies and spending time with his grandchildren, Brandon and Taylor. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Summers. Survivors include her daughter, Rhonda (Aaron) Hollond; grandchildren, Brandon and Taylor Hollond; and several nieces and nephews. His family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 14, 2018, at Hamilton Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
