Joseph Britt

TRENTON — Joseph Allen Britt, 84, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at CHI Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, Tenn. He was born on July 21, 1934, in Heber Springs, AK, the son of Berry and Ruby Britt. Mr. Britt was married to the late Doris Joan Groschwitz on July 9, 1955, and she preceded him in death on May 4, 2011. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1958 and was a retired truck driver. Mr. Britt enjoyed old westerns, golf, woodworking, and his grand and great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by son Douglas Britt; daughter, Linda Owens; brother, sisters and parents. Mr. Britt will be missed by his daughter Yvonne (Mike) Gothard; daughter Norma (Bill) Ramey; daughter, Beverly Guess; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two brothers; several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2019, in the funeral home chapel.
