Hazel Newsom

LAFAYETTE — Hazel Brown Newsom, 86, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Newsom; sons, Tim and Stanley Davis; parents, Bob and Cora Lee Brown; and four grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Pam (Michael) Cole of Nashville and Kayla Davis of LaFayette; sons, Anthony Davis of Chattanooga and Fred (Thelma) Davis of Warner Robins, Ga.; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sisters, Wanda Angle of Chickamauga and Karen (Mike) Stansell McGill of LaFayette; brothers, Jerry (Diane) Brown of Pinson, Ala., Richard Brown of Woodstock, Ga., and Randall (Barbara) Brown of Rock Spring; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, December 9, 2019 in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel. Interment at LaFayette City Cemetery. Pallbearers are her grandsons and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
