Kelly was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She went to school to earn her degree in Early Childhood Education and spent most of her life working with children. Kelly was a colon cancer survivor and had been in remission for almost 15 years. Throughout those years she had countless procedures and surgeries but always kept her head up. She was an absolute warrior. Her love for her family kept her going. She truly enjoyed life, loved spending time with her family and always sharing her new favorite song with everyone around her. She was the most thoughtful person any of us had ever met. Above all else, her greatest joy came from her two granddaughters. She lived every moment of her life for them and for their mother, her only child. Kelly's services will be held on Jan. 26, 2019, at 3 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Ooltewah-Ringgold Rd. Visitation with the family will be immediately after her service. A private burial will follow later. We invite you to send a message of comfort and view the family guestbook at www.serenityfunerals.com.
