Yvonne Broderick

CHICKAMAUGA — Yvonne Eileen Elkins Broderick, 92, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Feb. 28, 2019. She was born in Tiffin, Ohio to the late Ollie Wilbur Neu and Rema Wave Neu. She was an active member of Oakwood Baptist Church and a member of Scenic City Friends for many years. Yvonne worked her entire career in the property insurance industry and retired from Corroon and Black of Chattanooga. She was very active in Insurance Women International, holding offices on both local and state levels in Florida and Tennessee. She enjoyed time to travel and read during a long, full retirement. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Eugene Donald Elkins and second husband, Floyd Clifford Broderick; and her sister, Beatrice Baker. Survivors include her sister, Audrey Spires (Ronald Deatcher), Mesa, Ariz.; daughters, Diane Tripp (J.R.), Chickamauga and Susan Kirlis (Donald), Candia, NH; granddaughters, Erin Tripp Draughon (Christopher), Fayetteville, N.C., Leah Kirlis Daniels (Ned), Holliston, MA, Jenna Kirlis, Candia, NH; great-granddaughter, Miranda Draughon; great-grandsons, Joshua Draughon and Lincoln Daniels; along with several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held 3:30 p.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel with Brother Bobby Marsee officiating. In honor of her deep love for dogs, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the McKamey Animal Center of Chattanooga. The family would like to thank the devoted staffs of the Center for Advance Rehab at Parkside and Amedisys Hospice Care of Dalton for their loving care.
