James Hammonds

James “Mike” Hammonds, 92, transitioned from this earthly life on March 9, 2019. He was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from Bright School. He was a member of Greater Friendship P.B. Church. He leaves to cherish his memory a devoted wife of 69 years, Louise Hammonds; children, Linda (Richard) Qualls, Ed “Buddy” (Brenda) Hammonds, Jennifer (Martin) Wyatt, and Donna (James) Williams; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, three sisters, and one brother. The body will lie in state from 12 noon – 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2019, at the funeral home. The body will lie in state from 10 am to 12 noon prior to the funeral service beginning at 12 noon Friday, March 15, at Greater Friendship P.B. Church with Elder R. Lavon Yates officiating.
