George Maffett

George Washington Maffett, Jr., 74, passed away Nov. 11, 2019. He was a graduate of Howard High School Class of 1963. He was a faithful member and deacon of Mt. Paran Missionary Baptist Church. He is a retiree of the United States Army and the City of Chattanooga Public Works Department. Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Maffett; children, Angela Maffett-Terry, George W. Maffett, III, Dedric Maffett, and Samantha Maffett. Public viewing will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, 2019, at Mt. Paran Missionary Baptist Church. A funeral service will begin at 12 noon Monday, Nov. 18, at Mt. Paran Missionary Baptist Church with Minister Calvert Glenroy Dixon, Eulogist, and Minister Michael Bennett, Officiant.
