Catherine Sisemore

CHICKAMAUGA — Catherine W. Sisemore, age 88 of Chickamauga, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 19, 2019. She was born to the late Thomas E. Sission and Jennie Walden in Dalton, GA, was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia Area and was of the Baptist Faith. Catherine loved children, cooking, being outdoors and was known to many as “Granny”, “Nanall” and “Mom”. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be greatly missed. Catherine was also preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Sisemore; sons, Rodney Sisemore and Allen Sisemore; granddaughter, Barbara Sisemore Davenport; grandson, Matthew Sisemore; great granddaughter, April Dewberry; and, great grandson, Adrian Todd. She is survived by her loving children, Jimmy Sisemore of Rock Spring, Charles (Jane) Sisemore of Chickamauga, Christine Shelton of Whitwell, Tommy (Kathy) Sisemore of LaFayette, Teresa (Mike) Bell of Wasilla, AK, Randall Sisemore of Chickamauga, Cheryl (James) Clark of Trenton, Melissa (Troy) McClure of Rock Spring, Richard Sisemore of Rossville, Joseph (Tammy) Sisemore of Chickamagua, and Tamara Vines of Ringgold; special daughter, Pam Sisemore Patterson of Chickamauga; sister, Patricia Hixson of Ooltewah; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Terry Burns and Pastor Elvis Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Tuesday and prior to the service on Wednesday. Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Home-J.
